About the Festival

The 2008 Health Festival aims to bring awareness to the benefits of healthy lifestyles, establishing modern health concepts, and promoting health products. With the help of Global Health Promotion Association Incorporated the 2008 Health Festival is enabling corporations and organizations to introduce and demonstrate their up-to-date health concepts, health products and healthy lifestyles. In turn, the consumers are able to expand their knowledge about health issues and products.

Today in New Zealand, medical fees have become a big burden. This makes the government focus more on preventing illnesses and educating people on how to maintain their health. The task therefore is to control the minor illnesses and not to let them develop into serious illnesses.

This preventive health concept helps to reduce the money and resources spent on serious illnesses. Nowadays, the health problem is that chronic diseases would eventually develop into serious illnesses. We need to focus on how to prevent and control these chronic diseases, keeping the body healthy and preventing minor illnesses.

In the past health corporations have worked individually to promote their health products. With this Health Festival we are aiming to rouse a greater awareness of health issues.
